Everything ready for the XXVII edition of Gala Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit

Considered the largest tourism business meeting in the Mexican Pacific, the XXVII edition of Gala Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit will be held on March 28 and 29, at the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center, with the participation of at least 67 wholesalers and more than 106 hoteliers in the region, who will attend around 1,200 appointments.

Being a meeting of great importance for the entire tourism industry of Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, and after a pause due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this event returns with much more force and the arrival of wholesalers from England, United States is expected. , Canada, Mexico and Ecuador, among other countries that have gradually eased travel restrictions.

During the event, around 1,200 business meetings are estimated with the commercial teams of the hotels in this region, in which the sales of room-nights for the next vacation seasons will be agreed.

For more than two decades, Gala Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit has established itself as the largest business meeting in the Mexican Pacific, due to the relevance of its participants, and is even considered by the industry as a prelude to the Tianguis Turístico to which many hoteliers already they arrive with pre-established Gala agreements.

In addition to the business meetings with hoteliers, the wholesalers will have a series of inspection and reconnaissance tours of the main icons of the destinations and some of the hotels in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, to get a comprehensive idea of ​​what the region offers its customers. visitors.

This important event for the tourism industry is the perfect setting for hoteliers to showcase their new properties, as well as existing ones; its remodeled areas, new spas, restaurants, public areas, specialized concierge services, among other attractions, motivating wholesalers to sell their clients to Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit as destinations.

On March 28, the inauguration ceremony will be held at the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center and it is expected that the Secretaries of Tourism of Jalisco and Nayarit will be present; the presidents of the Hotel Associations of both destinations, among other municipal and state authorities.

Gala Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit has evolved throughout history, exceeding expectations for the region's industry every year. In its last edition (2020) there were 70 wholesalers and 95 hotels who participated in the event, achieving an estimated 800 business appointments.

For this 2022 the goal is to bring together at least 67 wholesalers, more than 106 hotels due to the increase in hotel inventory and just over 1,200 business appointments at the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center. Due to the pandemic, there have been mergers of companies, as well as strict travel restriction policies that have gradually been lifted, however, there are still different limitations to be able to exceed the estimated number of wholesalers.
