The Eurowings Discover airline operates the only non-stop air connection between Germany and the Central American country
With more than 230 passengers on board, Lufthansa Group's new leisure airline Eurowings Discover (4Y) landed at Tocumen International Airport from Frankfurt, Germany, reactivating the economy of the tourism sector.
The tourists were received by the German ambassador to Panama, Martina Kluump, and the general director of Promtur, Fernando Fondevilla, among other authorities, who were present at the traditional water arch, which welcomed visitors to Panamanian territory from their most of Europe.
The Lufthansa Group airline Eurowings Discover operates the only non-stop air connection between Germany and Panama, the most important hub in Central America, with three weekly flights (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays) and service throughout the year, using the Airbus: A330- 200 and A330-300.
"We are delighted and proud to resume flight operations between Frankfurt and Panama with three weekly non-stop flights. It is a great addition to our Eurowings Discover flight program and an integral part of the Lufthansa Group network," said Helmut Woelfel, commercial director of Eurowings Discover.
“Thanks to this network integration, passengers will benefit from a direct connection to all German and European Lufthansa departure points, as well as a seamless booking process and seamless transfer traffic,” Woelfe said.
For her part, the deputy administrator of the ATP stated that: Eurowing Discover and its new frequencies will give thousands of European travelers the opportunity, especially Germany, one of the markets identified in the Master Plan for Sustainable Tourism (PMTS), to discover our oceans, our forests, our traditions and most importantly our people”.
