Disney Cruise Line announces Broadway-style features on new Disney Wish

Disney Cruise Line has revealed new details about the two theatrical productions coming to its new ship, just days after the shows were first announced during a presentation by President of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Josh D'Amaro at Destination D23.

Set to sail in summer 2022, the Disney Wish will premiere two original shows at its state-of-the-art Walt Disney Theatre: an innovative Broadway-style version of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film "The Little Mermaid" and a cruise launch celebration directed by Captain Minnie, Goofy and an all-star cast of Disney and Pixar characters. On deck, guests will enjoy a new covered pirate party culminating in an impressive fireworks display at sea.

Pirate Night with a Rock and Roll Twist
Another favorite Disney Cruise Line guest experience will return aboard Disney Wish in a whole new way with the premiere of Pirate's Rockin' Parlay Party, a new take on the iconic nightly celebration on deck of the fleet that will undoubtedly delight everyone alike.

On a special night of each cruise, guests of all ages can don their wildest pirate attire and head to the upper decks for an unprecedented rock and roll show at sea, complete with fireworks at sea as only Disney can do.

Hosted by Captain Redd - descendant of the famous redhead from the theme park attraction Pirates of the Caribbean - the show will feature live music, extraordinary stunts, special effects and plenty of surprises. Throughout the party, she and her band of buccaneer rockers will perform famous radio hits of the genre, as well as a bizarre rendition of the classic pirate theme "Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life for Me)".
