Spain occupies the first position in the recovery of the great world tourist destinations, with a level of hotel reservations at 117% over the figures for 2019, according to data from the World Hotel Index by SiteMinder. A podium that is traditionally disputed with France and the United States (with reservations at 103.69% and 89.83% today, respectively), as the most visited countries in the world.
The entire northern hemisphere is preparing for a summer of high hotel occupancy. The last two weeks have seen a strong boost to bookings in all countries, with volumes already close to pre-pandemic levels, especially for stays in June and July. The return of international tourism is also a reality, with more reservations than at any time in the last two years.
