Secretary of Tourism of Guerrero highlights positive results of Tianguis Turístico

At the Tianguis Turístico México 2022, 64,950 business appointments were consolidated, said the Secretary of Tourism in Guerrero, Santos Ramírez Cuevas, at the close of the 46th edition held in Acapulco.
"This represents 7,600 more than the last edition in Mérida. There were 1,745 buyers, 6.7 percent more than in the last edition and 29 percent more than in 2019, which was also held in this city."
Regarding the international market, he highlighted that Colombia was the one that contributed the most with buyers with eleven percent; it was followed by the United States, with ten percent, and Spain, with three percent.
At the national level, he indicated that Acapulco and Cancun are emerging as the most successful destinations in Mexico for the summer vacation season and December of this year.
At a press conference, Secretary Santos Ramírez Cuevas reported the results of the Mexico Tourism Tianguis 2022, which were achieved for the state of Guerrero and its main tourist destinations.
"In the system we achieved 3,470 business appointments, Guerrero regularly made 900 appointments per edition of Tianguis Turístico. Currently, with 126 business and municipal desks, an average of 2,820 appointments were reached."
He added that there were 215 more appointments generated by the business cluster.
On the other hand, he stressed that Guerrero reached a collaboration agreement for the presentation of the Gulf-Pacific Route, in which the entity is twinned with the states of Veracruz, Tlaxcala and Morelos.
Announced to the collaboration agreement to strengthen connectivity by land, with the states of Michoacán and Guanajuato, for the benefit of the Costa Grande of the state.
Another of the agreements that were reached in this Tourist Tianguis, he said, was also the air connection between Coahuila and Guerrero, "which could be between Saltillo and Torreón, for Acapulco or Ixtapa. In addition to three new flights from the companies Aeromexico, Viva Aerobus and Volaris, which will depart practically daily from the new Felipe Ángeles airport, heading for the port of Acapulco.
Continuing with the good news, the state official reported that Ixtapa reached agreements for air connectivity with Colombia, and a new flight is being negotiated with the company Volaris, with Transportes Aéreos de Guatemala (TAG), for a direct flight.
