SKY makes its first flight to Miami

The SKY airline landed today for the first time in the United States, after its launch on April 17. As of today, the airline will operate this route with five weekly frequencies, to later expand to six in July and seven in August.

The first flight took off from the Lima airport at 01:05 a.m. and landed in Miami at 07:55 a.m. To officially inaugurate the flight, SKY held a ribbon cutting prior to boarding at the Lima airport, in which authorities, airport representatives, passengers, among other relevant actors for the company, participated.

“Today we successfully inaugurate our first flight to Miami via Lima, which marks a significant milestone in our international expansion plan and will allow us to connect mainly Chile, Peru and Argentina with the United States, at completely affordable prices and in the most modern and friendly fleet. of the continent”, said José Ignacio Dougnac, CEO of SKY.

Through this route, which represents SKY's 11th international destination, the airline plans to transport more than 9,000 passengers per month, who can travel directly from Lima, or from Santiago and Buenos Aires with a stopover in the Peruvian capital. To date, passengers from the three countries have purchased their tickets to fly on this route, most of them being Chilean.

It should be noted that, like all SKY routes, tickets to Miami are under the company's new flexibility policy - "Your Ticket" - which allows all passengers to endorse, cancel or reschedule flights at no additional cost.
