Copa Airlines inaugurates a new route to Santa Marta

The Colombian airline will initially have 3 weekly flights connecting the Colombian destination with the rest of the continent through the Hub of the Americas

Copa Airlines inaugurated its new destination, Santa Marta, Colombia, becoming the only airline to operate international flights to and from this city. Santa Marta is the eleventh Cup destination in Colombia. 

Pedro Heilbron, executive president of Copa Airlines, stated that "Air connectivity is essential for the economic development and social progress of Latin American countries, which is why we will continue to grow towards new destinations in our region and collaborate with the authorities, businessmen and unions. of tourism to continue promoting commercial and tourist activity between the different cities we serve”

This new route consolidates the airline as the one that best connects the Colombian Caribbean region with international destinations, operating 28 weekly frequencies from 4 destinations: Cartagena with 2 daily flights, Barranquilla with 9 weekly frequencies, San Andrés with 2 weekly frequencies and now, Santa Marta with 3 weekly frequencies through the Hub of the Americas®, located at the Tocumen International Airport in Panama. 

The Copa Airlines flight will operate from June 28, 2022 with three (3) weekly frequencies on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, departing at 12:10 pm from Panama (local time) and arriving at the Simón Bolívar International Airport at 01:39 p.m. (local time). The return flight will depart on the same days from Santa Marta at 03:26 pm, arriving in Panama at 04:54 pm (local time).
