American Airlines continues to strengthen its commitment to Chile by resuming service between Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Santiago (SCL) beginning October 29. The route will be operated with a Boeing 787-8, with capacity for 234 passengers.
In this way, the airline will offer a total of 17 weekly flights to three destinations in the United States, including a daily flight to Miami (MIA), three weekly flights to New York (JFK) and a daily flight to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW).
“We are excited to resume our route between Santiago and Dallas/Fort Worth starting in October, reaffirming our commitment of more than 30 years to Chile,” said Gonzalo Schames, Director for South America and Strategic Alliances at American Airlines. "With this route, Chilean travelers will be able to connect with our largest hub in the United States, which offers one-stop access to more than 200 destinations around the world."
"With this offer of flights in Santiago, we also hope to continue promoting the reactivation of receptive tourism in the country - an important engine for the Chilean economy," said Duncan Paterson, American Airlines Regional Sales Manager for South America.
Connecting Chile with DFW, American Airlines' largest hub
Through its hub at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), American offers access to approximately 200 destinations worldwide with more than 700 flights diaries. This year, the company continues to strengthen its global network from DFW, launching a new service between DFW and Auckland, New Zealand (AKL) in October.
