The Cayman Islands lifts all restrictions for international travelers

Visitors are no longer required to be fully vaccinated or to submit a declaration through Travel Cayman upon arrival

The Cayman Islands lifts all restrictions for international travelers  effective August 24, 2022,

The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT) has announced a major update to its government COVID-19 protocols, officially removing all testing, vaccination and registration requirements for both incoming and outgoing passengers. 

As of August 24, 2022, international passengers will no longer be required to be fully vaccinated or file a declaration through Travel Cayman upon arrival in the Cayman Islands. 

"The new Regulations are in line with the current global environment, and I fully support and welcome the removal of travel restrictions," said Minister for Tourism and Transport, the Hon. Kenneth Bryan. "Today is a great day in Cayman, and we thank all travelers, partners and members of our community for ensuring that our Government's phased reopening plan remains a success. We can finally proudly say that the Cayman Islands They are open to everyone." 

"With each new phase of reopening we have seen an increase in visitor arrivals to our beautiful destination, and we have recently celebrated an important milestone in the recovery of tourism by increasing air transport capacity," said Ms. Rosa Harris, Director of Tourism of the Cayman Islands. "We are prepared to open our doors to all who wish to visit us and we believe that the future of tourism in the Cayman Islands is strong."    

The health and safety of both residents and visitors remains a top priority for the Government of the Cayman Islands and CIDOT, which has become evident as the destination has strategically and successfully moved forward through the five phases of its Border Reopening Plan, welcoming international travelers, families and cruise passengers to the destination through a phased approach.
