CLIA announces the programming of the 4th CLIA Forum Brazil 2022

There are only a few days left for the 4th CLIA Brazil Forum 2022, which will take place on September 14, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Tourism, in Brasilia, and CLIA Brazil announces the full program of the event, which brings together authorities and main executives of the tourism market. Cruises, to discuss and reflect on trends and challenges for the development of the sector in the country.

With the presence of the Minister of Tourism, Carlos Brito, and the President of EMBRATUR, Silvio Nascimento, the ceremony will begin with the showing of videos with global updates from Pierfrancesco Vago, President of CLIA Global, and Kelly Craighead, CEO of CLIA Global.

Adrian Ursilli, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CLIA Brazil and Country Manager Brazil of MSC Cruises, will welcome and give an overview of the segment, before the presentation on sustainability and unpublished data from the Study of the Profile and Economic Impacts of Maritime Cruises in Brazil – Season 2021/2022, carried out by CLIA Brazil, in partnership with FGV, by Marco Ferraz, Executive President of the entity.

The trends and scenarios of the Cruise Industry in Brazil and in the world will be the subject of the first panel that will feature Adrian Ursilli (MSC Cruzeiros), Dario Rustico (Executive President for South and Central America of Costa Cruzeiros), André Pousada ( Regional Vice President, Government Relations - Latin America of Royal Caribbean Cruises), with the mediation of the journalist from the Bandeirantes Group, André Coutinho.

The second panel will address the regulation and challenges of operations in Brazil. Eduardo Nery Machado Filho (General Director of the National Water Transport Agency - ANTAQ), Dr. Caio Bortone Ramos Ribeiro (Federal Police Delegate), Monica Cristina Antunes Figueiredo Duarte (Quality Management and Sanitary Risk Management Advisor of the General Directorate of Ports, Airports and Borders - ANVISA) and Ministry of Tourism.

On stage will be Sueli Martinez (Operations Director of Concais - Santos), Gilberto Menezes (Operations Director of Contermas - Salvador) and Marcello Chagas (Operations Manager and Port Security Supervisor of Pier Mauá - Rio de Janeiro), mediated by Marco Ferraz, Executive President of CLIA Brazil.

With the presence of Secretaries of Tourism from several cities that stand out in the Brazilian season, the theme "Destinations, Attractions and Reception" will be on the agenda, with a debate by Selley Storino (Santos-SP), Maurício Bacelar (Salvador- BA) , Evandro Neiva (Itajaí-SC), Dr. Maycon Siqueira (Búzios-RJ) and Luciane Leite (Ilhabela-SP), mediated by André Coutinho.

The event will also bring a discussion about the work on board and its legal regulations, which will be in charge of the lawyers specialized in the subject, Dr. Marcelo Fortes Giovannetti, Dr. Renata Azi and Dr. Rodrigo Mattos Sérvulo de Faria, mediated by Mario Franco, CLIA Brazil Advisor and Royal Caribbean Representative in Brazil.
