American Airlines returns to Uruguay with a temporary flight to Miami

It will operate three times a week from Montevideo with Boeing 787-8 aircraft

American Airlines becomes the only airline to operate direct flights from Uruguay to the United States, resuming its seasonal service between Carrasco International Airport (MVD) and Miami International Airport (MIA), which will be operating three times a week, until March 25. The route will increase to daily service between December 14 and January 9.

The Boeing 787-8, with capacity for 234 passengers, departed for Montevideo on Sunday, October 30 at 10:35 p.m., arriving on Monday, October 31 at 7:55 a.m., and will be flying back at 10:00 p.m. :45 p.m.

This year American is strengthening its MIA operation, including returning to five destinations in Cuba: Holguín (HOG), Santa Clara (SNU), Santiago (SCU), Varadero (VRA) and Camagüey (CMW); the return of seasonal service to Paris (CDG); after two years of suspension, the return of his flight to Managua (MGA); and new service in December to Jackson Hole, Wyoming (JAC).
