Trul Hotéis expands operations to the Northeast and operates the first leisure development in Brazil

The operator entered into a partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts to manage and sell the Ramada by Wyndham Porto Seguro Praia Hotel

Trul Hotéis, in partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world's largest hotel franchise chain with more than 9,100 properties in 95 countries, announces its first hotel focused on leisure in Brazil. Located in Porto Seguro (BA), the Ramada by Wyndham Porto Seguro Praia Hotel marks the network's entry into the Northeast, operating and marketing the enterprise.

The establishment is located on the trendy beach of Taperapuan, eight kilometers from the city's international airport. Next to the hotel there are coconut trees, white sand and leisure areas, with space suitable for bathing with family or friends.

Ramada By Wyndham Porto Seguro now comprises the 11 hotels operated by Trul. The chain's intention is also to formalize new contracts throughout the year to bring more leisure options among the chain's units. One of the operator's intentions is to expand its area of operation to the state of Mato Grosso and Santa Catarina, in addition to other countries.

Comprising 158 apartments, the Ramada by Wyndham Porto Seguro has a swimming pool, restaurant, sauna, pool bar and green area with more than 5 thousand square meters.

One of Trul's intentions is to make the hotel even more attractive. In this way, the operator started a series of improvements to the unit and intends to open a games room and a gym. The revitalization includes renovations in the hotel's common areas, lobbies, restaurants and apartments. The main objective is to perform the retrofit of the environments aiming at the modernization of the infrastructure.

“The objective is to make the hotel one of the references in the leisure segment in Porto Seguro. The new management aims to bring a culture of engagement to the work team so that employees are constantly dedicated to the demands of visitors, allowing families staying to feel happy and comfortable. As the destination has many natural and cultural attractions, we hope to attract many tourists and achieve significant improvements in performance”, highlights the CEO of Trul Hotels, Alejandro Moreno.

Trul and Wyndham's strategic decision to start a presence in Bahia took place safely. “Entering a destination that we did not have a presence in is part of our growth strategy in Brazil, both in terms of territorial presence and in strengthening the Ramada by Wyndham brand, one of our main brands around the world”, highlights the vice president of New Products. Wyndham Business for Latin America, Maria Carolina Pinheiro. The executive points out that currently in Latin America and the Caribbean there are 27 units of the brand created by the chain, positioned as the largest hotel franchise in the world.

Trul Hotéis, on the other hand, has hotels with a full service operating model, nine of which are corporate and this one is more recent for leisure. In Minas Gerais, the operator's original state, the largest number of enterprises are currently located. There are five: Hotel Dubai Suites, Hotel Amsterdam and La Defense (Montes Claros); Lizz Hotel (Uberlândia) and TRYP by Wyndham (Savassi – Belo Horizonte).

In Rio de Janeiro, the Days Inn Rio Lapa is also in Trul's portfolio. In São Paulo, two units are part: TRYP by Wyndham (Paraíso) and Ramada Encore By Wyndham (Osasco). There is also the Days Inn By Wyndham Cascavel, in Paraná, and now the recently announced Ramada by Wyndham Porto Seguro Praia Hotel. In the management of Trul, there are also executives Luciano Carvalho, who serves as Director of Development, and André Bekerman, in the General Management.

The Ramada by Wyndham flag falls into the midscale category and carries with it a global standard. The brand is already present in more than 70 countries, with more than 800 properties. In Brazil, Wyndham already has Ramada brand hotels in the cities of São Paulo (SP), Rio de Janeiro, Macaé, Campos dos Goytacazes (RJ), Brasília (DF), Belo Horizonte, Lagoa Santa (MG), Recife ( PE) and Manaus (AM).
