Deeply committed to preserving the natural landscape, celebrating Mexico's rich heritage, and providing the best experience in luxury travel, Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo, Mexico today opens its doors inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a coastal reserve that until now it had remained hidden.
“Arriving in Tamarindo is like feeling immediately immersed in the grandeur of the natural world and we want Four Seasons guests to experience this connection with the jungle, with the ocean and with everything around them” - said Christian Clerc, president of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts . "We are deeply grateful to our owner partners - Paralelo 19, whose family has cared for this land for generations and has trusted Four Seasons to share their vision of preserving it and celebrating its extraordinary culture."
Located in the state of Jalisco, Mexico, the resort includes 157 rooms and suites carefully inserted along the cliff and facing the beach, many with private pools; in addition to a rich gastronomic offer, an extraordinary golf course, transformative spa and wellness experiences, three swimming pools and three beaches to enjoy water sports or long days in the sun.
"Our vision in Tamarindo was to build an authentically Mexican and contemporary resort and make it a testament to our country's rich heritage," said Pedro Verea Hernández, CEO of Paralelo 19, the group that owns Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo.
Seeking to protect pre-Hispanic culture and support Mexican artisans, Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo entered into philanthropic partnerships with the Ensamble Artesano and Taller Maya organizations. The work of both associations reflects the incredible richness of Mexican crafts that can now be admired in the different spaces of the resort. In addition, the boutique offers the opportunity to take home tangible souvenirs created by Mexican hands. Guests will be surrounded by Mexican talent at all times, from the architecture of its buildings and the design of interior and exterior spaces, to countless details ranging from artwork to staff uniforms.
“As guardians of this incredible natural environment, we invite our guests to discover its breathtaking beauty and the rich culture that resides here. At Tamarindo, guests can expect to fall in love with Mexico as they fully immerse themselves in the destination, its people and its traditions” - comments Félix Murillo, General Manager of the resort.
Seamlessly blending tradition and modernity, Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo was designed by architects Víctor Legorreta and Mauricio Rocha, who came together as LegoRocha specifically for this project. The interior design was in charge of Uribe Krayer and Estudio Esterlina, the landscaping was led by Mario Schjetnan and the restaurant designers were Esrawe Studio and Bibiana Huber.
