Ecuador strengthens its connectivity for 2023

Avianca announced its new route between Quito and Buenos Aires, LATAM the resumption of the Quito – Miami route and AraJet began operations in the country

Promoting air connectivity is one of the commitments of the Ecuadorian government to continue with the reactivation of tourism, which today is promoted with the new routes that link the Andean country with Argentina, the United States and the Dominican Republic.

With four weekly flights, Avianca started the operation of the Quito – Buenos Aires route, with which the direct connection between the two countries is again generated and the arrival of Argentine travelers is expected to increase.

For its part, LATAM reopened the Quito – Miami route, resuming the direct connection after five years between Ecuador and the United States through these cities on a daily basis, which constitutes an important boost to connectivity with the US market that the main issuer of tourists worldwide.

While with the arrival of the AraJet airline, Ecuadorians and Dominicans will be closer thanks to the flights that connect Santo Domingo with Quito through three frequencies and Guayaquil with two direct frequencies.

As of October 2022, Ecuador has recovered 83% of international connectivity, with 281 weekly direct frequencies, operating 23 routes and connecting 15 international destinations. While domestic air connectivity is at a 73% recovery, with the operation of four airlines that fly to nine destinations with a total of 280 frequencies.

The National Government promotes connectivity and international relations with the generation of facilities that allow increasing the operation of foreign airlines and the arrival of travelers to the country.
