Figures published by the Ministry of Tourism reflect the great year that the sector has in the Central American country
El Salvador is positioning itself as a benchmark in the region, exceeding tourism projections for 2022.
According to a report from the Ministry of Tourism, the country has recovered 94% of post-pandemic tourism, with tourists from the United States being the ones who visit it the most. Of the 2 million visitors, 54% arrived by air and 46% by land.
Thanks to the fact that the stay of visitors has increased, El Salvador has achieved $2,077 million in foreign exchange, a figure that marks a 52% increase compared to 2019.
