Guatemala continues to expose its tourist offer

The Guatemalan Institute of Tourism was present in different activities in international markets

In order to promote the tourist destinations, services and commercial offer of the country, the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism carried out different activities in international markets.

In London

The ExCel London exhibition center was present, Guatemala participated in the World Travel Market tourism fair, in which the country was represented by 10 companies in the sector, including tour operators and hotels, INGUAT and the Guatemalan embassy in that country. In the annual event of this meeting, businessmen had the opportunity to make business appointments.

In Costa Rica

A trade mission was also held in San José, Costa Rica, where INGUAT, together with the airline Volaris, made a destination presentation to more than 40 travel agencies from the sister Central American country. A business conference was also held with the participation of 16 entrepreneurs from Guatemala, generating more than 600 business meetings.

The Ambassador of Guatemala in Costa Rica, Sandra Noriega, and the Director of Corporate Development for Central and South America of Volaris, Ronny Rodríguez, participated.

In Mexico

It was in the State of Oaxaca, Mexico, INGUAT together with the airline Tag Airlines made a destination presentation in which more than 50 travel agencies from the neighboring country participated. A business conference was also held with the participation of 4 businessmen from Guatemala, generating more than 150 business meetings.

This activity was attended by the Connectivity Department of the Oaxaca Tourism Secretariat, Samaria Martínez, and the General Consul of Guatemala in Oaxaca, Noé Dávila.

These activities give the opportunity to present Guatemala, amazing and unstoppable, capitalizing on the positive image of the country in international markets. From January to September, Guatemala has received the visit of 1,263,394 international visitors according to the Market Research and Analysis Department.
