Guides the visitor to live an unforgettable experience in the paradisiacal Caribbean destination
The islands of Antigua and Barbuda are located in the heart of the Caribbean Sea. They offer their visitors 365 beaches to enjoy every day of the year. Each one with its own characteristics and for all tastes.
From the Tourism Authority of Antigua and Barbuda, they launched the "Beach Personality Test" for people to find their ideal beach. In this way, fitness freaks, foodies, nature worshipers and those who love moments of introspection can spend the day in a place that suits them.
The test has a series of questions, including what kind of swimsuit the respondent likes to wear, what's in his beach bag, what's his favorite drink and what his perfect vacation would be like.
From this test, different beach proposals are generated according to different types of personality. The first is El socialité, for whom they recommend Pigeon Point beach. It is about a stylish traveler, interested in knowing the newest and most luxurious hotel, the most fashionable bar and the most recognized beach for the presence of celebrities. The place has endless white sand beaches and palm trees, as well as a few elegant bars and restaurants such as Club Sushi, Catherine's Café and South Point.
Another category is that of the foodie tourist, whose recommended beach is Dickenson Bay. Undoubtedly Antigua and Barbuda is a strategic place for lovers of Caribbean cuisine where black pineapple, fresh mango, mahi-mahi and red snapper are the protagonists of a multitude of proposals to enjoy. Dickenson Bay is one of the best beaches on the island to relax, swim and enjoy a long tasting lunch. Among the recommended ones, Coconut Grove, the Antiguo and the only floating bar in Antigua: Kon Tiki.
For nature lovers, the place worth visiting is Great Bird Island, it is ideal for those who enjoy sunsets, flowers and waves. It is a small island that can be reached by boat and where you can dive in the turquoise water of the sea and observe the marine fauna.
For fitness fanatics, Rendezvous Bay is the ideal place to take walks in a landscape of incredible views with exuberant flora and fauna, swim or practice yoga and then take advantage of the crystal clear water of the Caribbean Sea.
For the more solitary, the perfect beach is Seaforth Beach, it is the place they recommend for those looking to be off the radar, immersed in a book or taking a nap under the wide brim of a hat. It is not an easy place to get to, you have to be willing to walk 30 minutes, get in a vehicle or even rent a boat, but, they say, it is worth knowing.
