In Paraguay, Turkish cooperation advances in the native community of Trinidad

The start-up of the future Tourist Information Office, Exhibition and sale of Handicrafts in the department of Itapúa continues

Within the framework of cooperation between the Republic of Turkey and Paraguay, the start-up of the future Office of Tourist Information, Exhibition and sale of Crafts, in the native community Mbya Guaraní Guaviramí in the town of Trinidad, department of Itapúa, is advancing.

SENATUR technicians supervised the progress of the construction and the elaboration of the crafts that will be exhibited in the office and trained the members of the community who will be in charge of attending to visitors.

This cooperation work in the tourism field will socioeconomically benefit the community located in the vicinity of the Jesuit Missions, and will promote the strengthening of tourism in the area.

The main interest of the Eurasian country, through the Türkiye Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), is to support and encourage community tourism and the cultural experience of the native peoples settled around the Jesuit Missions, strengthening capacities, generating employment dignified and avoiding the migration of young natives due to lack of employment.
