Flybondi continues to grow: Received its tenth aircraft

Since it announced its plan in December 2021, the airline has already made an investment of more than 200 million dollars in the Argentine industry

Within days of the arrival of the ninth plane, Flybondi welcomes its tenth Boeing 737-800 NG with capacity for 189 people. The arrival of the new aircraft required more than 30 hours of operation, since its journey began in the city of Sacheon (South Korea) towards Chitose (Japan), followed by a stopover in Alaska; then in San Antonio (USA) and a third in Guayaquil (Ecuador) to then land at the Ezeiza International Airport. The aircraft transfer process was in charge of company personnel: a crew of 7 pilots and 2 mechanics participated.

In this way, Flybondi completes its initial growth and investment plan in which it proposed to double its fleet, its offer and the number of passengers transported. One year after the announcement of its 2X Plan, the company has already announced that it will add two more units before the end of the year, thus exceeding the original plan to end 2022 with a total fleet of 12 units. This increase in capacity will make it possible to increase and reinforce the frequencies of national and international routes, and also to prepare for the summer season. Regarding next year, Flybondi announced that it will launch a search for at least 5 Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the leasing market to be added during 2023.

During this last year, Flybondi incorporated more than 500 employees and generated more than 13,500 indirect jobs throughout the Argentine territory. On the other hand, it increased its frequencies to all its national and international routes. In addition to incorporating 4 cabotage destinations Ushuaia, Puerto Madryn, El Calafate and Comodoro Rivadavía, thus expanding connectivity with the south of the country. Currently it already flies to 15 provinces, 17 national destinations and 2 international destinations.

“This year's growth is the result of the commitment of all of us who make Flybondi to our customers. They were months of great effort, where we found ourselves with a complex scenario in the execution of an investment plan of this magnitude. We started 2022 with 4 aircraft and today our fleet has 10, with a contribution of more than 200 million dollars in the Argentine industry and a long-term and sustainable commitment to the future. We aim to continue consolidating ourselves as the fastest growing airline in recent years in Argentina and the region”, commented Mauricio Sana, CEO of Flybondi.

The low cost company has already transported more than 1,850,000 passengers in 2022, both domestically and internationally. In this way, the airline reaffirms its founding purpose: that more people can travel by plane in Argentina and the region, accessing a safe service with low fares and international quality standards.
