The 'Sal Quiteña' and 'Burger Show' festivals presented the best of Quito and Ecuadorian food at Parque Bicentenario

Gastronomy is part of the culture of the towns and, without a doubt, has become one of the main tourist attractions in the region. Quito is a city of flavors and knowledge of great tradition, which have allowed it to become a place where unique gastronomic experiences can be lived.

Recognizing the importance of food culture, the Municipality of Quito, through Quito Turismo, promotes the realization of two important events to show citizens the best of the flavors of our city and the country.

The first event is the 'Burger Show', a festival that will take place on Saturday, November 26 and Sunday, November 27 at the Centro de Eventos Bicentenario (former Quito airport), and in which at least 60 hamburger establishments and entrepreneurs will participate, one of the most popular foods worldwide.

In this meeting, the public will enjoy a wide variety of hamburgers of different sizes, shapes, flavors and styles, in the middle of an artistic show that will include the participation of influencers and musical groups such as Verde 70, Tomback, Banda 24 de Mayo, Sergio Sacoto, Kike Jav, Bustabrothers, among others.

In addition, the participating establishments will compete for the title of the 'Best Hamburger in Quito 2022', which will be chosen by the juries: Jorge Rausch, International Chef; and Ricardo Leiva, from the renowned Colombian entrepreneurship television show Sharktank.

The winners will travel with all expenses paid to Bogotá, where they will visit the restaurant of Jorge Rausch, MasterChef jury and owner of the Criterion Restaurant, to receive advice on how to promote their gastronomic ventures.

Additionally, among attendees and entrepreneurs at the event, a zero kilometer car will be raffled, valued at $25,000 dollars. The entrance fee to the 'Burger Show' is 4 dollars; people with disabilities and the elderly will pay half; and for children under 12 it is free.

The second event to be held in Quito is the 'Sal Quiteña' Gastronomic Festival, a meeting that will have the participation of 80 establishments including restaurants, traditional hollows, cafeterias, artisan confectionery, bistros and food and beverage establishments that are part of the program. Distinctive Q'.

The festival will take place from Saturday 3 to Monday 5 December at the Bicentennial Events Center, admission will be completely free, and will include the screening of the round of 16 matches of the World Cup in Qatar and an artistic show with the participation of groups such as Los Titos, Batahola, Los Cumbancheros, Don Medardo and his Players, Trio Los Garles, La Sonora Dinamita and Grupo Coraza.

On the 3rd and 4th, the 'Sal Quiteña' Gastronomic Festival will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and on Monday, December 5, it will start at 10:00 a.m. and will last until 02:00 a.m. the following day, as part of the concert by the Puerto Rican, Anuel AA, which will take place in the same place.

Previously, and as part of the Festival, the 'Sal Quiteña' Gastronomic Congress will be held from December 1 to 3, where chefs and national and foreign experts will provide workshops and culinary demonstrations.

With these events, Quito promotes the gastronomic culture in the city in order to consolidate it as one more experience to visit the Capital of the Center of the World.
