The airline reactivated its daily flights between Miami and Managua in a Boeing 737
American Airlines today resumed service between Augusto C. Sandino International Airport (MGA) and Miami International Airport (MIA), operating daily on a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with capacity for 172 passengers. The aircraft departed Miami at 10:28 am ET and arrived in Managua at 12:03 pm local time.
“We are excited to resume our daily service between Managua and American's hub in Miami, as we complete our network of operations in Latin America,” said José María Giraldo, Managing Director of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. “With our return to Managua, we now fly to 10 destinations in Central America, thus strengthening our presence as the largest US airline in the region”

This winter, American will operate up to 33 daily flights in Central America to 10 destinations, including service to Belize (BZE), Comayagua (XPL), Guatemala (GUA), Liberia (LIR), Panama (PTY), Roatán (RTB), San José (SJO), San Pedro Sula (SAP), San Salvador (SAL), and now to Managua (MGA).
