The start of the flights from the five capitals of the Northeast to Argentina took place this Saturday, December 3. The shared code with Aerolíneas Argentinas facilitates the connection of customers with other cities in the country, one of the most important markets in South America for GOL
GOL Líneas Aéreas, the largest airline in Brazil, began on Saturday the resumption of its direct flights from Recife, Salvador, Maceió, Natal and João Pessoa (with a stopover in Natal) to the capital. In this way, it demonstrates the recovery of international traffic and the expansion of the range of options, both for passengers from the Northeast and Argentine tourists at the start of a new summer season.
Buenos Aires is the most popular destination in the country for GOL clients, with a more touristic profile and an intense flow of Brazilians in search of Argentine beauties. Along the same lines, Argentines usually travel to the beaches of the Brazilian coast, especially from Buenos Aires. These direct flights promote tourism in the Brazil-Argentina corridor, generate income, jobs and strongly contribute to the greater movement of tourists on the Northeast coast.
“Argentina, one of GOL's most traditional destinations in South America, has loyal customers who do not stop visiting Buenos Aires frequently. It is a practical and fast route, both for Brazilians who go to the Argentine capital and for Argentines who come to the Northeast of Brazil in search of sun, sea, culture and gastronomy”, affirmed the director of strategic planning of the air network from GOL, Bruno Balan.
That is why, as of December 3, the five capitals of the Northeast have a weekly outbound frequency on Saturdays to Buenos Aires and a weekly return frequency on Sundays to Brazil.
In August 2022, the Company resumed operations between Buenos Aires and Fortaleza, and with the new flights to the other cities there will be six Northeastern capitals with international GOL operations. In addition, direct flights to Buenos Aires are also offered from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Florianópolis.
All flights to Argentina are operated by GOL with the Boeing 737 aircraft, with capacity for 176 passengers on international routes. GOL's association with Aerolíneas Argentinas allows code sharing between Brazil and Argentina, that is, connectivity with the interior of the country, and provides customers with extensive options to fly from the Northeast of Brazil to cities such as Ushuaia, Bariloche, El Calafate, among others.
Tickets can be purchased on the company's website and app, at GOL airport stores, by phone at the Service Center (0810 266 3232) and at travel agencies.
