Grand Palladium Jamaica invests and renovates all its facilities

The project has consisted of the remodeling of common areas and the complete renovation of the 537 hotel rooms, which have included 48 suites of two new different categories that now have a terrace, private pool and sea views

Palladium Hotel Group continues its commitment to excellence in one of its most exotic locations in the Caribbean: Jamaica. The Spanish hotel group, which manages two hotels in Montego Bay, has promoted a thorough renovation of the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa in order to adapt to new design and decoration trends, enhance its hotel offer in the destination and continue offering a experience with all the comforts to travelers from all over the world. This renovation complements the one already carried out in 2016 at the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa, located in the same resort operated by the hotel company.

Through an investment of 27.5 million dollars, the ambitious project has consisted of remodeling the 537 suites that make up the establishment, as well as various common areas such as the lobby, one of its show-cooking restaurants and one of its most iconic bars.

The main idea of the entire renovation, designed and executed by Urcoisa Interior Design (UID), has been to reinforce the English colonial style of the entire resort, as well as to seek a timeless, elegant and fresh inspiration in keeping with the attributes of the Grand brand. Palladium Hotels & Resorts. In addition to these concepts, we have wanted to integrate the spectacular nature into the design and interior decoration through colors, textures and natural materials.

More than 500 remodeled rooms and two new categories

The first objective of the renovation has been the complete renovation of the 537 rooms that make up the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa, which will be available from mid-December. Of these, two spectacular new categories stand out in 48 suites with sea views: 40 Superior Junior Suite Private Pool Ocean View and 8 Superior Suite Private Pool Oceanfront View. Surrounded by vegetation, these suites are swim-up type with a private pool and terrace and are fully equipped with beautiful furniture with sofas, chairs and tables and a wooden pergola that gives a greater sense of privacy and is perfect for sheltering from the sun. .

In the case of the Superior Junior Suite Private Pool Ocean View, the pool is 8m2 and the terrace is 15m2; and in the case of the Superior Suite Private Pool Oceanfront View, the largest in the entire hotel, they have a 15m2 pool and an impressive 44m2 terrace fully furnished with a dining room. Likewise, this last room has a private living room with a balcony, a larger bedroom and a relaxation area that includes a chaise longue and a large glass window that allows you to contemplate the wonderful views of the pool and the sea.

Inside the 537 suites, the new furniture stands out, more modern and comfortable; as well as a timeless, elegant and colonial decoration, in keeping with the architecture of the rest of the resort. In addition, the use of light colors combined with brown, black and green predominates; elements in marble and solid wood; as well as natural textures and fabrics, among which the braided fabric panel placed behind the headboard of the bed stands out. As for the bathrooms, they all have a hydromassage bathtub and shower, and all the taps, accessories, and amenities are also new. Likewise, some of the rooms have open bathrooms in which the bathtub itself becomes the main protagonist of the room.

Energy efficiency and technology have also played an important role. All rooms have energy saving systems with sensors for light and air conditioning and the swim-up pools are heated through an efficient system that uses heat pumps.

Common areas to surprise

As far as the common areas are concerned, the renovation has been mainly focused on highlighting some of its most emblematic spaces. Among them, the Infinity Saloon Bar, the nerve center and meeting point par excellence of the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa from where you can enjoy spectacular 180º views of the Caribbean Sea, as well as shows and live music. [A dining room in a house Description automatically generated with medium confidence]

Its open-air terrace now has elegant awnings to protect from the sun and lounge-style furniture with sofas and large armchairs, perfect for resting while sipping delicious cocktails. In this area, the use of black and white stripes predominates in the furniture fabrics, which combine perfectly with the tropical touch of the mural in the bar decorated in bright white tiles with floral and plant designs and the image of the national bird. , The hummingbird.

In the lobby, they wanted to further enhance the English colonial style of the resort. In this area, importance has been given to solid wood and comfortable and spacious furniture. In addition, inside the reception, the covering of its walls with white 'treillage' latticework and mirrors that also seek that colonial inspiration and that combine perfectly with the large and striking black lamps installed in the area, especially stand out. [Picture containing interior, living room, table, room Description automatically generated]
