Average and daily spending also grow

In addition to the increase in total tourist spending in the month of November, the average spending per tourist in this month also grows, by 14%, compared to pre-pandemic levels; and the same happens with the average daily expenditure, which goes from 161 euros in November 2019 to 165 euros in November 2022. The United Kingdom continues to lead

For yet another month, the United Kingdom leads the tourist issuing market, with 828,680 visitors, representing 19.1% of all tourists arriving in our country. France and Germany are the next countries with the most tourists visiting Spain. France contributes 585,567 tourists and Germany 529,562.

Canary Islands leads tourism

In the month of November, the Canary Islands was the first main destination for tourists in November, with 27.3% of the total. They are followed by Catalonia (22.2%) and Andalusia (13.7%). In the first 11 months of 2022, the autonomous communities that have received the most tourists are Catalonia (with almost 14.0 million), Illes Balears (with almost 13.1 million) and the Canary Islands (with more than 11.1 million).
