Mexico: Mérida and Querétaro are connected by a new flight

The heads of the Secretariats of Tourism of the states of Yucatán, Michelle Fridman Hirsch, and of Querétaro, Adriana Vega Vázquez Mellado, led this day, the presentation of the new flight that will unite the cities of Mérida and Querétaro, operated by the airline Viva Airbus.  

This flight, which will have two weekly frequencies on Mondays and Fridays, from and to the Querétaro International Airport (AIQ), will open the opportunity to bring the center of the country closer to one of the most important tourist destinations in the country, such as the city ​​of Merida; highlighted the secretary of tourism of Querétaro, Adriana Vega Vázquez Mellado, which will allow, she said, to promote the entity to new markets.  

"The main intention is to facilitate the tourist flow between Querétaro and Yucatán. Seek cross-promotion so that Queretaro residents have the opportunity to enjoy all the tourist attractions of Yucatán, its natural beauty, its tourist infrastructure, its gastronomy; and that they and the tourists who already visit it, can come to soak up our culture, our Magical Towns, our Cheese and Wine Route, our Sierra Gorda", highlighted Vega Vázquez Mellado.  

In this sense, the Secretary of Tourism Promotion of Yucatan, Michelle Fridman, highlighted that this great alliance that allows the exchange of tourist flows between these entities, and place them an hour and a half away, and invited the people of Queretaro to enjoy the multiple tourist attractions of said entity, such as its natural wealth, its renowned gastronomy and the vast historical legacy.
