During the second day of activities in Fitur, Yucatán, as part of the Mexican delegation in this event, it continues with the strategies established by the State Government to promote the destination and generate new investment opportunities in the entity, promoting through tourism the economic development of the entity.

On this occasion, a meeting was held with the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) where Yucatan's interest in participating in this year's calendar of actions was reiterated, as members of the CCET (Consultative Council) it was proposed to collaborate with the UNWTO to through alliances for future events where Yucatan could serve as a host destination; Similarly, as part of the day's activities, Fridman Hirsch held a private meeting with Nigel Fell, President and CEO of the World Tourism Association for Culture & Heritage with the purpose of linking this international non-profit organization based in Sydney , Australia with cultural tourism projects in Yucatan and contribute to sustainable development.

Likewise, the Sefotur team had meetings with three of the most important shipping companies worldwide, these are Grimaldi Lines, Costa Cruises and Celestyal Cruises; with the purpose of linking and establishing future projects that benefit the entity, as well as Frank Babinger, adviser to the vice-rector for employability and entrepreneurship of the Complutense University of Madrid, with whom possible collaboration projects in the field of tourism training were explored. and exchange of tourism students with the destination.

In the same way, they also held meetings with Juan Balboa, general director of Hosteltur Pure Events with the purpose of analyzing the potential of Yucatan in meeting tourism. And so, continue with the day of meetings in this important meeting of the tourism industry, highlighting those that were held with wholesale agencies such as Avasa, CEAV, LastMinute.com, Dnata, Pangea, Latin America Travel Association, eDreams Odigeo, TUI Group, OTT, Zafiro Tours; among others thus adding a total of 40 appointments with the aim of strengthening ties that strengthen Yucatan. Within the framework of Fitur, the tenth Birratour meeting was held; the largest event for Spanish-speaking travel content creators that brings together more than 280 professional content creators; who took advantage of the occasion to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the organization, it is important to note that in its previous edition, this event reached almost 5 million people live, while it generated an impact of 90 million people through social networks where they became a trend.

On this occasion, Birratur had the state of Yucatan as a special guest, highlighting the work carried out by Sefotur in terms of promotion and positioning of the entity as a tourism brand; highlighting the role of Michelle Fridman at the head of the development and innovation of its tourist products, who at the same time has expressed the importance of travel content creators, to promote the uptake of new tourism, a fact that was demonstrated in 2022 by become hosts of the Spanish Travel Pop Up event.

It should be noted that, in the 10th edition of Birratour, more than 300 creators of travel content from Spain have registered, including micro-influencers, bloggers, instagramers, tiktokers and professional influencers from the tourism sector.
