Copa Airlines adds new routes to Baltimore, United States and Manta, Ecuador

With the addition of these two new routes, Copa will have a network of 79 destinations in 32 countries in North, Central, South America and the Caribbean

Copa Airlines {NYSE: CPA}, a subsidiary of Copa Holdings, SA and a member of the Star Alliance global airline network, announces the start of operations in June of this year to the cities of Baltimore in the United States and Manta in Ecuador. With these two new destinations, Copa reinforces its leadership in Latin America and strengthens the position of Panama and the Hub of the Americas® as the main connection center in the region.

In this way, we remain firm with the objective of increasing connectivity through Panama between the countries where we operate, and contributing to the growth of tourism, investment, and economic and social development of our region,” said Pedro Heilbron, executive president of Copa Airlines. 
With the opening of Baltimore, Copa continues to consolidate its route network in the North American country, adding to the historical and cultural "City of Charm" known for housing more statues and public monuments per capita than any other city in the US. This coastal destination joins the thirteen already operated by the Airline in the United States of America: Tampa, Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, New York, Denver, Washington, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Fort Lauderdale.
Due to its proximity, the Copa Airlines flight to the city of Baltimore will also serve as an alternative for those interested in visiting Washington DC and other cities in that area of ​​the country. This new route will operate from June 28 with four weekly frequencies on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, departing at 09:07 a.m. from Panama (local time) and arriving at the Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) at 03:07 pm (local time). The return flight will depart the same days from Baltimore at 04:22 pm, arriving in Panama at 08:22 pm (local time).
For its part, Copa Airlines, starting June 27, will connect the Hub of the Americas® in Panama with the city of Manta for the first time, and becomes the only airline to operate internationally to and from “The Pacific Gate”. destination recognized for its attractive beaches, gastronomy and being the second maritime and fishing tourist port in Ecuador (after Guayaquil), with great export and import activity. 
This new connection becomes the number three city in Ecuador, joining Guayaquil and Quito, benefiting the connectivity of those who reside in the city of Manta, in the Province of Manabí, and passengers from the rest of that important region. 
The Copa Airlines flight to Manta will operate three weekly frequencies on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, leaving Panama at 03:10 pm (local time) and arriving at the Eloy Alfaro International Airport (MEC) at 05:28 pm (local time). The return flight will depart the same days from Manta at 06:18 pm, arriving in Panama at 08:30 pm (local time).
