Ushuaia was ranked among the 10 most hospitable destinations in the world, occupying position number 7 and thus becoming the first destination in Latin America, within the framework of the Traveler Review Awards granted by Booking.com. After the Argentine city, Porto de Galinhas in Brazil and Mexico City in Mexico appear. The list is headed by Polignano a Mare, Italy, Hualien, Taiwan and San Sebastián, Spain.
Ushuaia known as the "city at the end of the world" is located in the province of Tierra del Fuego. Among its main attractions are the Tierra del Fuego National Park, Cerro Castor, the Beagle Channel, the Blue Lagoon, the Martial Glacier and the city itself, which in itself is already a great attraction. With travel back in most parts of the world, Booking.com's 11th annual Traveler Review Awards recognize travel providers from 220 countries and territories for committing to service and hospitality excellence throughout the year. Based on more than 240 million verified customer reviews on Booking.com, a Traveler Review Award 2023 was awarded to 1,364,415 accommodations, 230 car rental companies and 58 airport taxi providers.

The apartments and houses are the stars
For the sixth consecutive year, apartments are the most awarded accommodation type globally, with a total of 629,421 properties recognized for their contribution in the 2023 edition of the awards. In addition, for the first time in the history of these awards, houses (177,795) ranked second and displaced hotels (172,036) to third place, followed by pensions (91,635) and bed and breakfasts (78,247) in the fourth and fifth place respectively. In Argentina, the first place is also occupied by apartments, followed by houses and, in third place, hotels.
A more sustainable experience for the traveling community
Nearly one in ten award-winning accommodations worldwide (122,095) also received the "Sustainable Travel" label for their commitment to the environment. In fact, Sustainable Travel accommodations were three times as likely to receive a 2023 Traveler Review Award than those without the label. Hotels had the highest percentage of the Sustainable Travel program (15%) among all accommodation types that received an award this year.
