For the second time, Surfeando Sonrisas AC and W Punta de Mita held an event to provide the surfing experience to children with disabilities on the beach in front of the hotel, famous for its waves for surfing and to be able to witness a concert by DJ Yo I'm Matt.

The foundation was created by Daniel Gómez de la Vega, who after suffering an accident that left him with a spinal cord injury, went back to surfing and, in doing so, noticed how his smile returned to his face, so he decided to share that feeling. with more people with disabilities.

Since then, Surfeando Sonrisas has been dedicated to offering surf clinics adapted for children with special needs. To contribute to the cause of recovering a smile, instructors and local volunteers who are dedicated to surfing get on the wave that is growing more and more in Mexico.

On January 15, the first edition was held at the W Punta de Mita hotel and the second on February 4, in which guests, the local community and hotel talents were invited to participate, achieving an attendance of around 80 people, 30 children, parents, volunteers and instructors.

Both the foundation and the hotel intend to carry out more editions of the event, so those interested can be attentive to the call from the community and to be volunteers they can register on the page, prepare their swimsuit, sunscreen, cap, towel, etc. change of clothes, your thermos, and the best energy to enjoy the sea and a coffee break at W Punta de Mita.
