PROMPERÚ will arrive in the capital of the country to appear in the 42nd edition of the ANATO Tourist Showcase

The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERÚ) will participate in a new edition of the ANATO Tourism Showcase, which will be held from February 22 to 24 in Bogotá.

The Peruvian delegation, made up of 25 tourism companies, will present the most memorable experiences in nature and adventure tourism, culture, cruises, as well as gastronomic tourism experiences that allow you to enjoy world-renowned cuisine.

An Eden of flavors provided by a land of ancient culture, a wide biodiversity and the warmth of its communities are some of the characteristics that have positioned Peru as the 'Best Cultural Destination' and 'Best Culinary Destination' in the world in 2022 in the gala of the prestigious World Travel Awards (WTA).

The Andean nation will have a 216 m2 stand in the International Pavilion (stand 2704), accompanied by 25 co-exhibiting companies, of which 14 are tourism operators and 11 are tourism products, with the aim of continuing to strengthen cooperation ties with Colombia . This offer focuses on the urban gastronomic, adventure, nature and culture segments; showing new products, hotel infrastructure and high quality services.
Among the range of tourist experiences that Peru offers, the practice of adventure sports such as mountaineering, canoeing, mountain biking, trekking and bird watching in the most spectacular landscapes stand out.

While, for travelers looking for luxury experiences in direct connection with nature, there are cruises through the Peruvian Amazon, which allow tourists to enjoy its landscapes and have an immersive experience with the jungle, flora and customs of the native communities. .

Touring Peru through its flavors is also a unique experience. Its exquisite fusion of the ancestral and contemporary, which sits on an origin of 500 years, added to the mixture of its European, Asian and African roots, will take travelers' senses to another level.

Its gastronomy is so famous that the Lonely Planet guide specialized in international travel recently revealed the best destinations in the world for 2023 in its 'Best in Travel' list, and the Peruvian capital was highlighted among the best places to travel and eat.

Colombian Market
Currently, Colombia is the fourth largest source market for tourists to Peru worldwide, behind the United States, Chile and Ecuador. At the end of 2022, this market reached 6.6% of the international market share, reaching 133,035 tourists, which represents an increase of 224.9% compared to 2021.

In addition, in the coming months there will be new air connections with Peru, through the airline Avianca, which will resume its direct route from Bogotá - Cusco from March 27 with 4 weekly flights.

At the end of Peru's participation in ANATO 2023, 250 business appointments are expected to be made, with an estimated business potential of US$4 million.
