ATA in Anato 2023
This year Aruba wants to continue attracting more Colombian tourists and that is why during Anato 2023, it will launch its "Birthday in Aruba" campaign, which invites all people to fulfill their dreams on the Happy Island.
In 2023, "Aruba seeks to sustainably recover high-value visitor arrivals such as Latin Americans, boost the destination by updating the product around authentic, personalized and hassle-free experiences, and improve spending opportunities in the island with a greater focus on health, safety and the environment,” said ATA CEO Ronella Croes, who was present in Anato with the entire Aruba delegation.
“For this 2023 Aruba aims to reach a total of 37 thousand passengers in a conservative scenario and that the growth is 17% if we buy it compared to 2019, the best year we had in visits from Colombian and Latin American tourists. We have also projected an optimistic scenario with more than 45,000 passengers, 40% more than in 2019, which shows that we believe in the country and trust in the tourism industry," says Jordan Schlipken, director of the Aruba tourism office in Latin America. .
Colombia has recovered, in 2022, 3% versus 2019 and it is expected to continue growing in number of visitors to reach the figure of more than 40 thousand passengers in 2023. The Colombian market will maintain marketing investments similar to those of 2022 with much Focus on promotions and brand positioning.
“We are also going to continue strengthening our relationship with different allies (airlines, tour operators, wholesalers and travel agencies) to publicize the destination, so that Colombian and Latin American travelers choose us and live a high-class experience in Aruba. Not in vain, it is the key market in Latin America with the greatest recovery during 2022, this is due to the high demand of Colombians to visit Aruba and for having the number of seats and airlines to reach the Happy Island. For this reason, we encourage Colombian travelers to choose Aruba as their next destination to visit with family, groups of friends, couples or alone”, emphasizes Claudia Delgado, ATA sales representative in Colombia.
