Travelpayouts, the digital affiliate platform that brings together trusted brands and content creators, has confirmed that based on its own experience, the travel affiliate marketing space recovered faster than the rest of the industry in 2022.

In the case of Travelpayout, this has meant that during 2022 payments to content creators, in the form of commissions from travel brands for leads that generated bookings, have doubled.

This means that the top three affiliate partners earned $4,582,240, $200,250, and $190,443 respectively, while the highest one-time commission was $2,209 when someone booked a $36,100 hotel through a membership website.

Strong growth this year brings the total paid to content creators to $40 million since the brand set out to give content creators access to exclusive tools and the best travel affiliate programs back in 2012.

Meanwhile, the platform has seen strong growth in the number of travel brands signing up, with over 100 leading travel brands now using the platform, while member interest levels have increased at the same time. , having now exceeded 360,000 affiliates.

Throughout the year, Travelpayouts has seen two particularly notable areas of growth: the first is the travel and activities vertical, where the recovery has been stronger and faster; and the second has been the rise of subscription travel services, with more players entering the market and managing rapidly growing volumes.

Major travel brands that work with Travelpayouts include Booking.com, Hilton, OYO, Expedia, and Get Your Guide, which means content creators have access to flights, hotels, car rentals, insurance, and trips and activities and, on average, they can get their first payment just 80 days after first signing up.

Ivan Baidin, CEO of Travelpayouts, comments: "With the overall travel industry picking up in the second half of last year, it's only natural to expect membership bookings to pick up as well, but we've seen them come back with more strength than the industry as a whole. We believe this is because both brands and content creators have begun to really understand the profitability and additional revenue that can be gained with relatively little effort, at a time when the key It's about increasing revenue."

“I would like to thank all of our affiliates and partners for their loyalty and trust during a difficult few years and share in celebrating what has been an excellent recovery. In the same way, I would like to thank the entire team at Travelpayouts for their hard work and creativity in making us the world's leading affiliate marketing program. Stay tuned for more great news in 2023.”
