The Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) is pleased to announce the opening of the brand new ferry terminal at the port of Blowing Point, Anguilla. The official opening ceremony took place on January 20, 2023 at 3:30 p.m., attended by government officials, tourism industry players, media representatives, and representatives of other government departments and statutory bodies. The Blowing Point Ferry Terminal began operations on Monday, January 30, 2023.
"This Administration is committed to significantly modernizing Anguilla's infrastructure, for the benefit of both our visitors and, most importantly, our island community," said the Honorable Haydn Hughes, Minister for Infrastructure, Communications, Housing, Public Services and Tourism of Anguilla. “The opening of the Blowing Point Ferry Terminal is another commitment fulfilled, along with the redesign of The Valley's main road, recent airport improvements and the development of the 20-year airport master plan. We are both improving the visitor experience and improving the lives of our local residents.”
The modern facilities occupy 18,336 square meters and are fully air-conditioned. A VIP reception area, three concession areas, along with a tour desk, bathrooms in the arrivals and departures halls, WIFI connectivity throughout the building, and an ATM to facilitate last-minute purchases or departure taxes. , complete the facilities and services available. There will be representative signage of the hotels, villas, restaurants, attractions, etc. from Anguilla throughout the ferry terminal.

Six immigration kiosks allow quick and efficient processing of arriving visitors and residents, and separate baggage handling kiosks, both in the arrivals and departures halls, are designed to decongest the terminal. Upon arrival, eighty (80) passengers can be comfortably served every thirty (30) minutes, while the Departures Hall has a capacity for 128 people.
Two parking lots and a taxi rank with clearly signposted pick-up and drop-off areas ensure fluidity of traffic and easy access to the new terminal building. The new facilities were designed by Anguilla-based architect Raoul Vanterpool of V Architecture & Design Studio. Construction was carried out by Leeward Construction Company Ltd. over a 16-month period, at a cost of approximately $7 million, with funding provided by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
