Visit Argentina, through the National Institute for Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR), once again presented itself in Chile to carry out, in this case, the successful edition of Buy Argentina, a commercial meeting that brings together the local tourist trade with Argentine businessmen to generate more resources. and sales possibilities to our country.

With extensive calls in Santiago (March 7), Concepción (March 8) and Antofagasta (March 10), the mission left an important balance of approximately 400 work meetings, with a clear interest from the local tourist trade for the varied offer Argentina.

“We are very happy, we notice great interest on the part of the Chilean market, which is in full growth and which in the summer became the leader in the ranking of arrivals to our country. The attendees thanked us and told us the importance of this action. Therefore, we believe that the result is more than positive”, expressed Oscar Suárez, INPROTUR's Director of Markets.

It is important to mention that in the current summer season, Chile became the main issuer of tourists to our country, with almost 247,000 arrivals. Although the Chilean market has always been essential for the Argentine receptive, the statistics achieved so far are highly remarkable.

It should also be noted that the Argentine delegation was attended by the Argentine Consul in Concepción, Ignacio Livy, the national Consul in Antofagasta, Ana Carolina Massuh, the Mayor of the northern Chilean city, Jonathan Velasquez, regional authorities, SERNATUR and the Secretary of Institutional Relations of the Argentine Chamber of Tourism (CAT), Horacio Reppucci.
