The company decided to hold the meeting with travel agents in Mexico City due to the importance of Mexico for the sector, since the country's ports are some of the most important in Latin America. Additionally, in the country, cruise companies are perceived as a key factor to continue boosting tourism.
Aligned with these trends, around 50% of Royal Caribbean vessels that are in operation globally are destined for Mexico, on both the Pacific and Caribbean coasts, which ultimately has an impact on the Mexican economy.
In the third edition of The BRIDGE Awards, the cruise company had the opportunity to recognize Deluxe Travel, from Colombia, and Viamosa, from Mexico as the winners of its highest recognition The Bridge Award 2022. It also recognized Pachi Balderrama, from Bolivia ; and David Aguirre, from Mexico in the Industry Leadership category, and Allegro Tour from Panama as the best new travel agent in 2022 (New Travel Partner 2022).
