According to the administration, after 39 months of construction and having completed the blank march process, Metro de Panamá, SA is preparing for the commissioning of the Branch Line 2, which connects with the ITSE and Aeropuerto stations, making Panama is the first country in Central America and one of the few cities in South America that has a connection to the Metro system, between the city center and its main international airport.
This connection benefits tourism and especially programs such as stop over, because it gives tourists quick and direct access to visit the city.
The opening ceremony of this new connection is scheduled for today, March 15.
They explained that to transfer to the ITSE or Airport stations, users must arrive at the Corredor Sur station. In this station you will find the central platform, where there will be a train available to transport you to these two stations.
