One year after the launch of Arajet, the Dominican airline has become the national leader in passenger transport in 6 months of operations, managing to transport more than 150,000 people.

Víctor Pacheco Méndez, CEO & Founder of Arajet, informed that the airline presents remarkable growth, supporting the development of Dominican aviation and collaborating with the increase in the number of tourists entering the country thanks to its low fares.

“Arajet began its operations with ultra-low prices and totally new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, which has allowed it to consolidate a unique value offer in the region, allowing Dominicans to visit interesting little-explored destinations, and promoting the entry of tourists to our country”, indicated Pacheco Méndez.

He expressed that after the start of ticket sales in August 2022, the airline began its operations on September 15, inaugurating a new chapter in Dominican aviation by achieving the milestone of opening 17 destinations in just 3 months.

Arajet received its first aircraft from the Boeing factory in March 2022, which was baptized with the name of Pico Duarte, in honor of the patrician of the Dominican Republic and under the criteria that the company's aircraft bear names of protected areas of the country, to raise awareness and promote the importance of preserving ecosystems and promoting national tourism at an international level.

In the following months, Jaragua, Ojos Indígenas, Los Tres Ojos and Valle Nuevo joined the fleet, and this year it expects to double the number of aircraft to support the airline's expansion plans.

Arajet has incorporated a series of services to elevate the customer experience, recently they reported that more than 10,000 passengers have included in their ticket and used the Arajet Travel Assist assistance service that allows them to have 24/7 assistance to cover unplanned medical expenses , legal support for procedures, cash advances, hotel discounts, as well as a series of services that enhance your experience and that of your pets when traveling to each of the 11 countries that make up the initial network of Arajet destinations.

In addition to actively participating this year in the FITUR fairs in Madrid and ANATO in Bogotá as part of the Dominican delegation, Arajet was invited by the Ministry of Tourism of Mexico to participate as the only international low-cost airline in the Tianguis Turístico 2023 that will take place from March 26 to 29 in Mexico City thanks to its leadership in international passenger transport at the Felipe Ángeles Airport
