The Disneyland Resort continues the Disney100 anniversary celebration with the reopening of the reimagined Mickey's Toontown land on March 19, 2023 at Disneyland Park. In this lively neighborhood, families can explore, play, discover and relax together while enjoying new interactive experiences, the return of popular ones and the new Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway attraction.
The environment and experiences on this land were designed to allow all visitors to see, hear, feel and interact with each other in many ways. The reopening of Mickey's Toontown offers young families even more experiences to enjoy together in a different area of Disneyland Park, right next door to Fantasyland, home of "it's a small world" and the Fantasyland Theater, home to "Tale of the Lion King", an exciting live show on select days.
The reimagined Mickey's Toontown was designed by Walt Disney Imagineering to try to remove as many barriers as possible, with more outdoor green spaces created for gathering and playing. Visitors will be able to find items for the diverse needs of young families, from complementary bathrooms and a quieter area for decompression to curb-free terrain that helps make navigation easier for visitors with different abilities.
At Mickey's Toontown, two new establishments will offer traditional menus and delicious snacks that are sure to satisfy the little ones and those who feel like them. Café Daisy, serves timeless classics, including a vegetarian option. The Good Boy Market! Grocers offers beverages, snacks, and innovative takeout options. For a memorable meal, while supplies last, families can choose the Souvenir Slushee Sipper or the Perfect Picnic Basket, which includes a choice of three snacks. Visitors can also add the matching Perfect Picnic Blanket to their baskets.
EngineEar Souvenirs, next door to Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, features a selection of toys, clothing and accessories inspired by Mickey Mouse and his friends, including the new Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway Remote Control Trackless Train.
Mickey's Toontown is one of the new experiences debuting as part of the Disney100 celebration at the Disneyland Resort, paying tribute to Disney's 100th anniversary with new, limited-time offerings throughout the year. The celebration also includes exciting entertainment, such as two new nighttime shows, "World of Color – ONE" at Disney California Adventure Park and "Wondrous Journeys" at Disneyland Park, as well as the return of the "Magic Happens" parade at Disneyland Park.
