MSC Cruises: celebration in Punta del Este for the end of the 2022-2023 season

MSC Cruises, the fastest growing cruise line in the world, celebrated last Tuesday, March 21, on board the MSC Preziosa and in the exclusive port of Punta del Este, the closing of the 2022-2023 season.

The event began with a welcome cocktail and was attended by local authorities, including the Mayor of Punta del Este, Javier Carballal Casella; the General Director of Tourism of Maldonado, Martin Laventure Otegui and the Head of the Port of Punta del Este, Carlos Ferreira Silva, in addition to the entire staff of the company and special guests.

The MSC Musica was the cruise of the 22/23 season, carrying out 14 itineraries of 7, 8 and 9 nights, departing and returning to the port of Montevideo. She finished this successful season with a total of 434,653 guests on board and with 452 sold cabins of all categories.

"We celebrate the great success of the 2022-2023 season in Uruguay, which had more than 400,000 guests who chose our cruises as an outstanding vacation proposal," said Javier Massignani, Managing Director of MSC Cruises Argentina and Latam. And he added, "for the 2023-2024 season we assume new challenges for the local public, two wonderful ships, the MSC Musica and the MSC Lirica, will be offering 27 departures, embarking again in the ports of Montevideo and Buenos Aires, to the best beaches of tropical Brazil, because our objective is to continue offering more and better alternatives to our guests”.
