Its inauguration in March 1973 represented a milestone for the country, as it was the first international chain hotel and, in turn, the first five-star hotel to open its doors.

During its long history, the hotel has known how to evolve and adapt to the demand of travelers who choose it as their "home away from home" during vacations or business trips, adhering to the values of the brand, which is currently in a major transformation, creating a unique community experience for the next generation of travelers, foreigners and locals alike, at properties around the world.

“It is a great honor for us to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sheraton Lima, a milestone in the hotel's history and a testament to our commitment to excellence and exceptional hospitality. Over the years, we have had the privilege of hosting countless memorable guests and events, and we are excited to continue to do so for many years to come. We thank all our collaborators and clients for their support and trust in us and we hope to continue being a reference destination in the city of Lima”, commented Mariano Formariz, General Manager of Sheraton Lima Historic Center.

The Sheraton Lima Historic Center is today an icon of the City of Kings. Throughout its 50 years it has become the place that brings the beauty of Lima closer to those who visit the city, whether for business or pleasure. There are many who have had the opportunity to be part of the history of this urban oasis; from world leaders, artists, athletes and even heads of state from all continents have stayed at this impressive hotel on different occasions. Located in the Historic Center and just a few meters from the main tourist, cultural and historical attractions of Lima, the hotel comprises a 70 meter high building designed by the renowned architects J. Malachowski B. and Edward Durell Stone & Associates. Its construction began at the end of the 60s and ended at the beginning of the 70s, consecrating itself as one of the most dazzling works of that time. It dominated with its height, along with the Torre de Lima del Centro Cívico, the landscape of the city.

Sheraton Lima Historic Center consists of 20 floors that house 437 rooms, including 20 suites. Its facilities include a swimming pool on the terrace and a gym on the 3rd floor, three restaurants and a bar. In its main restaurant, the hotel pays homage to the world-renowned Peruvian cuisine, offering Creole recipes that delight palates from all over the world, and in its bar the iconic Pisco Sour, as well as other signature cocktails.

As far as its halls are concerned, the hotel has one of the largest convention centers in the country where events and conferences for companies, embassies and multilateral organizations have been held. Also, its halls have become part of the tradition of Lima families that have celebrated weddings of different generations with rigorous tradition.
