SAHIC 2023 begins today in Cartagena

This Monday the 27th and Tuesday the 28th, the city of Cartagena will receive more than 300 executives from the entire region and the United States. They
are the leaders in the real estate development sector dedicated to hotel and tourism projects. Based at the city's Hilton hotel, the seventeenth edition of this important annual conference will once again bring together the main players in the sector. Among others, the highest authorities of the Americas from companies such as IHG Hotels & Resorts, Best Western Hotels & Resorts, Hilton, Accor, Marriott International, Hyatt Hotels Corp, Choice Hotels International, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, STR; Argos Group; aimbridge; the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB Invest) and the IFC. The SAHIC forum brings together bankers; investors; owners of
assets; asset managers; officials and different professionals who provide services to the sector.

“A few hours after our 2023 meeting, I can say that we are on the eve of what will be a transcendental event for the development of the industry in the region. In the coming days and before our very eyes, businesses and projects will be launched that we will see on the front pages of the newspapers in a few months. The tourism industry has been greatly challenged during the pandemic and undoubtedly redefined by it. We are facing a new era in the sector and our forum is the "incubator" where we plan what we will have in our cities in the coming years" stated the President & CEO of SAHIC, Arturo García Rosa.

During the forum, there will be presentations, discussion panels, thematic tables and various networking spaces. Likewise, the SAHIC Planning Committee selects each year from 2 to 3 projects in the funding stage that, due to their relevance, are presented on the main stage. This year, two Colombian developments will be on the scene.
