"The Epicure", the ambitious gastronomic event of Paradisus by Meliá, presents an exclusive tour of flavors in unique opportunities open to the public.

Starting in March and throughout the year, the most avant-garde Mexican chefs will visit SAL Steak Cave at Paradisus Cancún, Paradisus La Perla and Paradisus Los Cabos.

After the success of the first edition of the Paradisus gastronomic platform, "The Epicure" returns for the second consecutive year to become a benchmark for gastronomic tourism, thanks to the collaboration of carefully selected chefs with outstanding careers

Today, Chef Julián Martínez of Mexico City's Sepia restaurant will be the first host of “The Epicure” at Paradisus Cancun. The eight-course menu that he has prepared for the guests will be a robust panorama of his personal vision, mixing fresh national ingredients with elements of the Italian tradition and an exquisite pairing that will accompany each dish.

"The Epicure" adheres to the purpose of Paradisus by Meliá to offer unique experiences to its guests, involving them in the local culture of their destinations with this great gastronomic celebration. The nine chefs invited to collaborate on “The Epicure” with their diverse styles will make every evening memorable.

Chef José Miguel García, will bring his great passion and renowned career to the second date of "The Epicure", at Paradisus Playa del Carmen on April 21, with the virtuosity that characterizes his creations and that he has embodied in his renowned restaurant La
Barraca .

Chefs Martínez and García will be joined by other unique talents throughout 2023, such as Marcelino Castro, Maricela Zorrilla, Daniela Soto Inés, Abel Hernández, Juantxo Sánchez, Federico López, Gerardo Vázquez Lugo and Josefina López. An insider's list of culinary genius.

Paradisus destinations will be the perfect setting with their beautiful beaches and superior service, in harmony with the exclusivity of "The Epicure" meetings.

The eight-course set menu is priced at $250 USD for external customers and guests who are not in The Reserve or Nikté categories, and $175 USD for guests staying in The Reserve and Nikté categories respectively. The quota is limited.
