As New Distribution Capability (NDC) technology continues to create new retail opportunities for airlines around the world, Air Canada and Amadeus have expanded their longstanding collaboration. Air Canada will enable access to its full range of content from NDC through the Amadeus Travel Platform, leveraging Altéa NDC, Amadeus' IT solution that enables airlines to deliver better travel retail experiences by distributing personalized offers and adapted. In addition, the airline's traditionally sourced content (EDIFACT) will be available worldwide to travel sellers and businesses using the Amadeus Travel Platform.

As an Amadeus Altéa customer for its passenger care system, Air Canada will benefit from a single Passenger Name Record (PNR) to manage the end-to-end passenger experience. Benefits also include increased efficiency and seamless integration of Altéa NDC with the Amadeus Travel Platform, enabling travel sellers to efficiently purchase, book and manage travel content sourced from NDC.

These advances are based on the successful collaboration between both companies.
