The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, held this Wednesday, the first Trade Show of the Dominican Republic with the presence of more than 50 members of the country and the assistance of more than 600 travel agencies and the main tour operators of the United States, Canada and Latin America, in their effort to get more tourists to continue visiting their country.
"Having direct contact with more than 600 travel agencies and the main tour operators in the United States, Canada and Latin America in a scenario like this is the best guarantee that we will continue to break records with the arrival of tourists in the Dominican Republic," Collado said. .
This first Trade Show in the Dominican Republic was held at the JW Marriott Marquis hotel in Miami, from eight in the morning to six in the afternoon this Wednesday. He highlighted the impact that this event will have on the country in the arrival of more tourists in the coming months.
Within the framework of this first Trade Show in the Dominican Republic, Minister Collado held specific meetings with important tour operators and executives from travel agencies and airlines. He stated that this type of event and the roadshow that he has taken to almost the entire world is the new way of the Ministry of Tourism to guarantee that more visitors continue to choose the Dominican Republic as their vacation destination.
"Every time we break our own records in the arrival of tourists. This first quarter the numbers are extraordinary and all this is due to meetings like this and that joint effort between the public and private sectors," he said.
Collado attributed, among other factors, the success achieved in the recovery of tourism in the Dominican Republic to the great work carried out by the Tourism Cabinet, which he coordinates and is chaired by Luis Abinader.

In this scenario, Minister Collado presented why these tourism businessmen should continue supporting the Dominican Republic. With videos that show the diversity of the Dominican tourist offer, Collado made an invitation to visit a country that "has it all."
Within the framework of this roadshow, Collado received several awards for his outstanding work at the head of the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic and for the successful recovery that that nation achieved after the pandemic. He thanked the award given to him by Princesa Travel, a leading company in the tourism industry in Mexico and Latin America.
The Minister of Tourism also did the same with the company Northstar Travel Group for the recognition it gave him.
