According to recorded data, during 2022 Iberostar had an 11% growth in sales in the Colombian market compared to last year. We highlight the growth achieved in hotels in the Dominican Republic with 53% and in hotels in Jamaica with 153% compared to 2022.
For this reason, Iberostar recognized Colombian tour operators and travel agencies for their support during 2022 and until now in 2023 in an event called "Night of the Stars" .
The agenda of activities included two large working dinners in Bogotá and Medellín with more than 185 guests and the Star Agents award with the highest production for Iberostar Hotels. More than 80 travel agencies participated in the event in Bogotá and the following Star Agents were recognized as the best sellers in this city: first place: Paola Garavito and Daniel Estepa from PG Travel & Service; second place: Martha Jacome of Expreso Viajes and third place: Yeinmy Ramirez of Aviatur Nayitur. At the celebration held in Medellín, with more than 105 participants, the Star Agents with the highest sales volume in the Colombian market were awarded and the trophies corresponded to: first place: Jonny Sánchez from Viajes Éxito; second place: Kelly Cano of Viajes Éxito and third place: Santiago Brand of Viajes Éxito.

It is in Iberostar Hotels & Resorts' DNA to offer the best experience to its customers, which is why it presents an ambitious plan to renovate its hotels in the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Jamaica. Around $20 million dollars are being invested to renovate more than 2,600 rooms, in addition to renovating common areas such as swimming pools, bars and restaurants and the Star Camp areas.
A great example of what Iberostar is doing is the recent complete renovation of the 528 rooms and most of the facilities at the Iberostar Selection Hacienda Dominicus in Bayahibe, Dominican Republic. This hotel now also includes high-tech in-room facilities such as Chromecast, USB outlets, new reading lamps and a modern key system connected to guests' wristbands and phones via a QR code.
The importance of the alliance with the RWS Entertainment Group was highlighted, with which Grupo Iberostar designed and developed immersive entertainment shows that are already in hotels in Mexico and will be gradually implemented in all hotels and resorts in the Americas.
