Paraguay presented its “Paraguay only for you” campaign in Porto Alegre

With the aim of positioning the country's tourist offer in the regional market, the Paraguayan Trade Mission was held in the Brazilian city

The event was organized by the National Secretariat of Tourism of Paraguay, with the support of the General Consulate of the Republic of Paraguay in Porto Alegre, within the framework of international promotion actions. On behalf of the Minister of Tourism, the General Director of Tourism Products, Doris Penoni; and on behalf of the National Chancellery, the General Consul in Porto Alegre, Ambassador José Martínez.

Paraguay seeks to become a sustainable and authentic destination, with the slogan "Last authentic reserve of Latin American nature and culture", and with an action plan that will be developed at the international and national level, in partnership with the private sector.

In this sense, since Brazil is one of the priority markets for Paraguay, with more than 55,000 Brazilian tourists arriving in our country, we are committed, the Private Sector and Public Sector, to increase the flow of Brazilian tourists, thus facing a product market marketing strategy, disseminating rural and authentic experiences, consumption, shopping, heritage, sugar cane route, gastronomic tours, craft routes and cultural routes.

In addition, show the new trends in Paraguay, to consolidate itself in a sustainable country.

The Paraguayan delegation was comprised of the following entrepreneurs; Hotel Palma Roga, Hotel Villa Maria, Tava Glamping, NSA Tourism, FITPAR, Touring and Car Club Paraguay, Paraguayan Chamber of Tourism of the Jesuit Missions, Dazzler and Splendor by Wyndham Asuncion, Dazzler by Wyndham East City, Elite Travel, Municipality of Eastern City and the airline Gol Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes SA

Authorities from the Porto Alegre tourism sector, more than 80 Brazilian businessmen, the Porto Alegre convention bureau, travel agencies, hoteliers, and written press media participated in the event; In addition, more than 30 business meetings were held.

The program also included networking between travel agents from Paraguay and Porto Alegre, followed by a country presentation and presentation of the offers by the Paraguayan private sector, ending with a typical food tasting cocktail, and traditional Paraguayan drinks.

As a result of this activity, tourism entrepreneurs specifically from southern Brazil expressed their great interest in marketing the Paraguay destination.
