Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) recognized outstanding owners, operators and developers at its 2023 Americas Owners Conference, held at Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen.

This year's Conference award categories are as follows:
• Developer of the Year – Recognizes full-service and select-service developers for excellence in areas such as creativity, build quality, and attention to detail during hotel development. .
• Strategic Partner of the Year – Celebrates company culture as well as a company's performance and operating philosophies, further enhancing its strong multi-brand relationship with Hyatt.
• Best New Property – Recognizes notable full-service and select-service hotel openings.
• Best Renovation – Recognizes the reconfiguration and transformation of Hyatt-branded full-service and select hotels.
• Best Conversion – Celebrates the reconfiguration of an existing property and conversion to a full-service or select-service Hyatt-branded hotel.
• Best Adaptive Reuse – Recognizes outstanding full-service and select-service Hyatt brand hotels developed from alternative real estate uses.
2023 Developer of the Year honorees include:
• MM Desarrollos (Secrets Moxché/Secrets Impression Moxché and Dreams Playa del Carmen): Incorporated into the Hyatt family with the recent acquisition of Apple Leisure Group, MM Desarrollos and its portfolio embody the commitment of the brand with an all-inclusive trip. The extensive experience of the Macedo-Morales family in the Cancun and Riviera Maya area brings immense value to Hyatt's growing global portfolio.
• Portman Holdings (Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City): In October 2022, Portman Holdings opened Utah's first Hyatt Regency hotel and the only one directly adjacent to the Salt Palace Convention Center. The 25-story, 700-room hotel was a long-awaited response to the growing demand for large-scale experiences and adds nearly 5,500 square meters of event space in the center of the city, helping to position Salt Lake City as a destination first level for holding world class events.
• TKo Hospitality: TKo Hospitality's Hyatt portfolio continues to expand with six new Hyatt House and Hyatt Place properties in the Northeast with another opening this year. The seven-story Hyatt Place Newark Main Street will add 104 rooms to the Delaware City business center and incorporates part of the historic Green Mansion building.

• Carlisle LLC: Carlisle LLC has been instrumental in expanding the Hyatt brand in Memphis, Tennessee with the goal of turning the Home of the Blues into a world-class destination for travelers from business and pleasure. The group currently has two properties: Caption by Hyatt Beale Street Memphis and Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis, both located at One Beale, a 20,000-square-foot complex in the center of historic Beale Street, with other projects underway.

• Best New Property | Thompson Denver (T2 Development): Inspired by the community and culture of iconic Denver, this brand-new hotel seamlessly blends mid-century modern luxury with mountain chalet elegance. Opening in the LoDo neighborhood in February 2022, the Thompson Denver features 216 rooms, a signature restaurant by Los Angeles celebrity chef Ludo Lefebvre, and custom cabin-inspired design by award-winning company Parts + Labor .

• Better conversion | Hotel Figueroa (BGO & Highgate): Originally built in 1926 for the YWCA, the iconic Hotel Figueroa was converted to a hotel after the Great Depression and is now part of Hyatt's Unbound Collection. BGO, its local capital partners, and Highgate have preserved the property's historic charm while adding modern hospitality and culinary experiences that guests, tourists and locals alike desire.
• Better adaptive reuse | Hotel la Compañía, Panama (Shebandowan Holdings, SA): Located in Panama City's famous and charming historic district, the artfully restored Hotel la Compañía offers a design experience centered on three distinct chapters of Panama's history and its influence on the historic Spanish and French colonial buildings that today house this special venue.
The Inclusive Collection offers immersive, elevated experiences where everything is seamlessly included. The winners of this collection are:
• Best renovation | Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya (Ganzi, S. de RL de CV): The closure due to the pandemic gave this all-inclusive oasis time to renew its design and services. From the rooms and suites to the six restaurants and the Dreams Spa, many spaces have been renovated to maximize the guest experience. In addition, the establishment has added a new fitness room, a children's wading pool and a terrace facing the beach that also functions as a space for events.
• Best New Property | Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen (MM Desarrollos): Opened in December 2022, Secrets Moxché, in Playa del Carmen (Mexico), is the first product of its kind designed to offer all-inclusive luxury services and amenities, featuring a butler private for each guest, personalized experiences, gourmet gastronomy and high-end design.

• Better adaptive reuse | Hyatt House Sacramento / Midtown (Hume Development & Twenty Four Seven Hotels): Built in 1928 for a Masonic women's organization and listed on the National Historic Register, the Hyatt House Sacramento / Midtown preserves and maintains the most characteristic features of the building while that combines Romanesque architecture with contemporary design. This 2023 opening expands the Hyatt brand's presence in Northern California.
• Best New Property | Hyatt House Houston Medical Center and Hyatt Place Houston Medical Center (Satya, Inc. & Aimbridge Hospitality): Located just blocks from the Texas Medical Center and its newly opened TMC3 research campus, the 298-room hotels form the first Hyatt complex in double brand of the city.
• Best renovation | Hyatt Place across from Universal Orlando ResortTM (Summit Hotel Properties & OTO Development): This newly renovated hotel was designed with the guest experience in mind.
