The first of three aircraft was presented today at an event held in Santa Cruz de la Sierra attended by the President of Bolivia, Luis Arce Catacora, and other government authorities.

The A330s selected by BoA can comfortably accommodate up to 278 travelers, and their modern cabin will enhance the passenger experience through direct aisle access in business class seats, and the widest economy class seats on the market. Now, BoA passengers flying long-haul routes to and from Bolivia will experience the latest technologies in the cabin, including an advanced In-flight Entertainment System (IFE).

In order to support the A330 Entry Into Service (EIS), Airbus will provide BoA with training services for its flight crew and maintenance, and on-site consultations with Skywise Health Monitoring (SHM), a tool Airbus Aircraft Monitoring System, which enables airline engineers to perform real-time scans of aircraft warnings to anticipate disruptions related to unscheduled maintenance.

BoA is also the most recent airline to choose Airbus Flight Hour Services (FHS) for its fleet of A330 aircraft. The multi-year hourly maintenance contract covers component services, including on-site reservation at Viru Viru International Airport and repair services. BoA joins a growing list of Latin American airlines in ensuring the best availability of key components, while avoiding all the obsolescence burdens that come with the heavy investment of managing and owning a stock of spare parts.

Additionally, the airline has selected a package of solutions for its from NAVBLUE, the Airbus flight operations subsidiary. This includes a navigation database for its flight management system (FMS) and an electronic flight bag (EFB), which allows pilots to receive aircraft performance estimates, consult documentation flight operations checklists. On the ground, NAVBLUE will provide document management services and tail-based performance optimization software, which will enhance the aircraft performance monitoring (APM) process.

Benefiting from NAVBLUE's experience, BoA will take advantage of the most advanced solutions to manage and optimize its operations.

BoA is the main operator in Bolivia and through its offer of routes it connects Bolivians within the country and throughout the world.
