Volaris, the ultra-low-cost Mexican airline that operates in Mexico, the United States, Central and South America, inaugurated its new flagship counters at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM), with which it has reinvented the traditional concept of service in the airport.

The airline redesigned a space of one thousand square meters that seeks to provide a great experience to travelers from their arrival at the airport, with counters and state-of-the-art services that reduce process times such as baggage documentation by up to 60%.

The novelties offered by this new space at the AICM are:

Self-service kiosks for check-in, with high-resolution touch screens and an intuitive interface, which helps speed up the process and consult information about flights.
A ticket sales space and signage elements that maximize the efficiency of the process and flows:
A high-resolution mega screen with the status of flights and boarding gates
A 52-meter long LED border, which sends messages, updates and creates, through luminous images, a characteristic atmosphere during the seasons of the year and festivities.
Amenities that make waiting during the registration process more entertaining: an interactive screen with mirror functions so that travelers can visualize themselves with reasons related to their trip; an interactive game projector that reflects moving waves on the floor or a ball of light that they can kick.
Ambient music with neuromarketing techniques, which favors an anti-stress sound environment and offers faster rhythms to speed up processes at peak hours.
Visual artistic design on a ten-meter wall intervened by an emerging Mexican artist, who managed to capture a pattern of movement with metal pieces that resemble a swarm of paper airplanes.

“Faithful to our vision of transcending by creating and living the best travel experiences, and with innovation in our DNA, we created this new space taking advantage of technology and reverse engineering, with which we were able to identify the main concerns of travelers upon arrival at any airport, to create the check-in and check-in area they really need,” said Holger Blankenstein, Volaris executive vice president.
