The Secretary of Tourism of the state of Nayarit, headed by Juan Enrique Suarez del Real, Secretary of Tourism of Nayarit, participated this day in the PowerSolutionsLIVE Chicago tourism industry event, a networking and tourism promotion event organized by the CCRA (Computerized Corporate Rate Association for its acronym in English) TravelCommerce Network, with the objective of promoting the tourist offer of Nayaritante the main tour operators and leading American travel agents.
The event, sponsored by the Federal Secretariat of Tourism that is held at the Hilton Palmer House Hotel in Chicago, seeks to train and bring travel agents from the United States closer to the main providers of destinations in Mexico, through meetings and workshops that allow them to strengthen their relationships, for the benefit of tourism activity and promotion.
During the meeting, the state of Nayarit gave a presentation that lasted almost an hour, introducing the participants to the offer of the destination, from its renowned beaches in Nuevo Nayarit to its Magical Towns and islands. From its offer in adventure and outdoor tourism to its cultural and historical offer, highlighting the secretary's objective to diversify the image of the state in the eyes of the US and Canadian tourism industry to favor local economies and make tourism a tool for social reconciliation.
“The state of Nayarit has a great tourist offer that has not been made known to the markets of the United States and Canada. For us it is very important to publicize everything that our state can offer, so it is essential for us to be part of initiatives like this, which seek to promote and place a Mexico beyond its beaches and position its cultural offer in the focus of the largest issuing market of tourists to our country”, said Juan Enrique Suarez del Real, Secretary of Tourism of Nayarit.
In addition to the massive presentation, the secretary met with representatives of travel operators and agencies with the aim of generating interest in expanding the activities that are sold to do in Nayarit. Part of the conversation included increasing the training of local operators in Nayarit, as well as its police department, taxi drivers, and the opening of a tourism school for the development of future generations in the segment.
